Onset of spring in the Credit Valley

These are photos from a hike along the David J Culham Trail, in the Credit River Valley area of Mississauga, at the beginning of the spring 2013.

I started my hike near two of the last few farms remaining within the Mississauga city limits: the Sanford Farm and the Pearson-Harris Farm. At the time of this hike, the farm area could be accessed (with the owners’ permission) from a dirt road beginning near the Sanford Farm entrance at 1200 Old Derry Road, or the Harris Farm entrance at 6545 Creditview Road. The two entrances were connected by a trail that passed under Ontario Highway 401: the area was home to several deer.
