Le Jardin du Roi Spice Garden

Le Jardin du Roi (“The King’s Garden”), also called the Spice Garden, is located on a hilltop on the Mahé island. It’s a quaint relic of the 18th century French attempts to break the Dutch monopoly over the spice trade by establishing spice cultivations on the island.
